The Coronavirus disease, in short COVID-19, is an infectious disease caused by a recent discovered coronavirus which has first emerged in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, after a mysterious illness was reported. Ever since it has fastly spread to many countries worldwide.
According to ‘The New Scientist’ the most common symptoms include a fever, dry cough, tiredness and in mild cases a runny nose or a sore throat. In the severe cases people with the virus can develop difficulty breathing to ultimately experience organ failure.
According to the Ministry of Public Health in Thailand, as of 24th March 2020 there are 827 people infected with the virus of which are 57 healed and 4 deaths.
To reduce the risk of coronavirus infection they recommend to
- Clean your hands with soap and water or alcohol -based handrub.
- Cover your nose or mouth when coughing and sneezing with a tissue of flexed elbow.
- Thoroughly cook meat and eggs.
- No unprotected contact with wild or farm animals.
